OKGC is a professional golf team competing in LIV Golf, the world's premier alternative golf league featuring an innovative shotgun-start, 54-hole team and individual format.
Formerly known as Smash GC, the team rebranded as OKGC in 2026 — marking a historic milestone as the first LIV Golf franchise directly aligned with a U.S. home market. The OKGC identity is rooted in the spirit and symbolism of Oklahoma: a bison at the center of the mark representing grit, resilience, and forward determination; the number 46 honoring Oklahoma's place as the 46th state admitted to the Union; and a star anchoring the brand to the American heartland. The name and visual identity reflect the values that define the state — hard work, forward momentum, and a strong sense of belonging.
OKGC is captained by Oklahoma native and Oklahoma State University alum Talor Gooch, the 2023 LIV Golf Individual Champion and one of the most accomplished players in the league's history. Gooch's deep roots in the state provide an authentic foundation for the team's identity as it competes on the global stage.
The team launched with pillar partners NOBULL and EdgeConnex, establishing a commercial model built for the next era of sports partnerships. OKGC made its competitive debut under its new identity at LIV Golf Virginia in the 2026 season, bringing Oklahoma pride to audiences around the world.
